First day

Arrival to the airport Juan Santamaría. Transfer and overnight in San Jose (the capital) in a comfortable hotel located near city downtwon: Colonial Hotel or El Sesteo Hotel (San Jose).

Second day

It is a road overlooking the legendary city of Cartago, which will take us through a lush and generous nature of the imposing Irazu volcano (3400 m) and the park (on foot). In the morning, the covered market of Cartago, will host a delicious journey to the land of fruits and vegetables, but also the opportunity to lunch in a traditional family environment. Visit the city and its famous Basilica de Nuestra Señora de Los Angeles, where Lankasters epiphytic orchid garden and combine to create a magical place, and finally the Ujarrás Mirador offers an exceptional view over the valley of Orosi and its coffee plantations . Accommodation and dinner at the Orosi Lodge Hotel.

Third Day

Address to the south by the Pan American highway, we enjoy a break / lunch at 2500 m to go along with a local guide to respond to the rainforests of Quetzal (rare and mythical bird of Central America). Arrive late afternoon to a beautiful beach in the Pacific Ocean, Playa Baru. Our first sunset over the Pacific. Accommodations at Hacienda Baru (Biological and Ecological Reserve) in small houses. Dinner at the farm (or their equivalent: “Villas Rio Mar” Hotel).

Fourth Day

Spend the morning exploring the South Pacific and in particular, two of the beautiful wild beaches: Playa Uvita and Playa Ventana (volcanic sand). Swimming and relaxing under the coconut trees (perhaps with mask and snorkel). Lunch at the hacienda, and then in the afternoon for a walk in the Biological Reserve “Baru” Discover the forest, its fauna and flora. Opportunity to see many wild animals (Coates, toucan, armadillo …). Night and dinner at the ranch (or its equivalent: Hotel “Villas Rio Mar”).

Fifth Day

Populated by an exceptional nature (bald monkeys, iguanas, exotic birds …) and a unique flora, Manuel Antonio Natural Park opened the doors of its terrestrial and aquatic paradise for a day of discovery. Do not forget your binoculars. Swimming is possible in the afternoon on the beaches bordering the National Park. Picnic. Back in the afternoon to the town of Parrita, Dinner and Lodging at Bejuco Hotel.

Sixth Day

The Arenal volcano (the most active in Central America) is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular views of the country. This day (of our arrival) will invite you to approach a waterfall located a few kilometers of the volcano (over 70 meters high). By late afternoon, relax in the warm waters of the volcano “Ecothermale” (Many small ponds await (25 ° to 55 °)), the point of view of the dark about possible eruptions. Dinner in Fortuna. Seventh Day

Early in the mornig, we will explore the Arenal Volcano National Park. This tour will take us to walk safely lava flows created by the eruptions. Meals. Transfer to San José (capital), accommodation in El Sesteo Hotel or Colonial Hotel.

Eighth Day

The road to the Caribbean (in hours) is another place that reveals its enjoyment of life, the Caribbean coast and more precisely the charming fishing village of Cahuita: typical village (Jamaica) and surrounded by tranquil white sandy beaches coconut palms. Small easy ride along the coast. A host of friendly animals come our way (howler monkeys, sloths, birds …). Lunch on site (Caribbean cuisine) and accommodation at the Iguana cabins Hotel or Playa Negra very exotic (100 meters from the pool, the sea at your disposal).

Ninth Day

Day with a local naturalist guide “Alex”, who will guide us in the first Indian reservation (Kekoldi) referred to a rehabilitation project of the Iguana, we borrowed a road in the rainforest, where we learn Alex many secrets on the nature, if not hostile, as one might think. Visit to an Indian family second, “The Bribri, banana producer and owner of a garden of medicinal plants. Meals on Puerto Viejo (fish specialties). Tenth Day

A little rest and relaxation … (Morning free). Several options available: either spend the day at Cahuita National Park where you can walk, swim and enjoy the beach, or what we offer two activities such as snorkeling (accompanied by a local guide), or even take a ride on mountain bike along the coast (1:30). Lunch at the hotel. Back to the Central Valley in the evening in the beautiful region of Turrialba. Dinner and overnight at the El Turrialtico Hotel (A view to the volcano).

Eleventh day

Discover the Valley of Orosi, a real historical place (Ujarrás Church, Town of Orosi), art (Dream House), also offers magnificent views of coffee plantations and jungle. Typical lunch at Mariano. Mariano is a Costa Rican who has worked all his life to the coffee crop, and recently played in his trout farm (the farm became), through a mountain stream: the Pacaya. By late afternoon, visit the coffee cooperative in the small town of Orosi (Orlich), the packaging process of coffee have more secrets for you. Night and dinner at Sanchiri Lodge (Paraíso).

Twelfth day

Lively and Culture, San José (the capital of Costa Rica), there was an exciting day in the program: El Museo del Oro and pre-Columbian and the National Museum, which are also places where artists and local artists exhibit.
